The above video features 2017 Scout 100 receiver Omar Manning scoring in his season opener.
Omar Manning got only one touch in his 2016 season-opener, but he made the most of it.
As seen in the above video, Manning plucked a slant out of mid-air and sprinted untouched for a 49-yard touchdown that gave Lancaster High School a 17-7 third-quarter lead against Denton Ryan, which stormed back in the fourth to win the TXHSFB opener 35-23.
The 6-foot-3, 203-pound Manning is the No. 1 receiver in Texas for 2017 and the No. 73 overall prospect in the Scout 300. He has more than 30 offers from across the country, but right now, the list of top contenders seems to be Texas, TCU, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas A&M.
Manning looks to build on a breakout junior season that saw him catch 33 passes for 671 yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns as Lancaster went 10-4 and reached the Texas Class 5A Division II state quarterfinals.
