TCU QB Foster Sawyer To Transfer

TCU redshirt sophomore quarterback Foster Sawyer, who received work in 2016, is set to transfer.

TCU will have one less quarterback in the film room this offseason.

Former Fort Worth (Tex.) All Saints' Episcopal school four-star prospect Foster Sawyer, a redshirt sophomore, has decided to transfer. The former No. 2 quarterback in the state of Texas in the 2014 class announced the news on social media.

Sawyer appeared in eight games for the Frogs in 2016, hitting on 26-of-55 passes for one touchdown and one interception. Sawyer initially picked TCU over offers from Alabama, Baylor, Missouri, Oregon State and UCLA.

The news could help TCU incoming early enrollee Shawn Robinson, the No. 1 quarterback in the state of Texas. The four-star Army All-American is expected to push for work as a true freshman in 2017.
