Anthony McKinney plans to look harder at TCU

TCU offered a junior college offensive tackle this week. They won't likely be the last scholarship nod for the prospect.

With a 6-foot-8, 325-pound frame, Iowa Western offensive tackle Anthony McKinney has three offers. Expect the number to drastically climb.

On Tuesday, his most recent offer came in. https://twitter.com/Antwonmckinney6/status/834234955123220481

“I don’t know much about them, but they are definitely a school that I’ll have to look into,” said McKinney. “I’m looking for a place where I feel comfortable and have a great relationship with the staff. I want to trust in what they’re doing.”

McKinney also has scholarship nods from Iowa State and Oklahoma.

“I'm more of a run dominant tackle and you'll see a lot of athleticism in my movement for a guy with my frame,” said McKinney, when asked to describe his game.

McKinney failed to qualify out of high school, ending up at Iowa Western – one of the most premiere junior colleges in the country when it comes to football.

"I really liked the rich tradition of winning and the chance at getting the most exposure in the country," McKinney said in a previous Scout.com story.

McKinney played left tackle for the Reivers last season. TCU landed wide receiver Taj Williams from Iowa Western two years ago.
