Richland Hills (Texas) outside linebacker Dashaun White went into his visit to TCU over the weekend feeling an offer could be coming his way. He was right.
The Frogs joined Arkansas State, Colorado State, Houston, Louisiana Tech, North Texas and Tulsa to throw a scholarship on the table.
"I'm very excited. I'm excited to get back there," said White, shortly after TCU junior day ended. "Wherever I end up, they have already worked within the top five or top three. When it is all said and done, they will be deeply thought about in my decision."
White isn't sure when he would like to commit, saying he is waiting to see how the cards play out. He would like to commit before his senior year.
According to Maxpreps.com, White recorded 114 tackles and three sacks in 2016. He also had an interception. In 20 career games at the varsity level, White has 202 career tackles.
"White is one of the more physically imposing players in the Dallas area. He is that new age style of coverage linebacker who can combat today's fast-paced offenses," said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Powers. "He is above average in coverage and will absolutely lay the wood. He closes on the ball quickly and we like that he is able to save his defense yardage by attacking the zero angle.
"In addition to good downhill speed, he shows adequate sideline-to-sideline speed. He will need to get bigger and stronger to fend off blockers, but when he is playing free he makes a ton of plays." https://twitter.com/schoolboyshaun/status/838165206824075264
