We take a look at TCU commit Atanza Vongor, currently the highest rated prospect in the Frogs' class.
In early March TCU landed four-star defensive back AtanzaVongor, from South Grand Prarie high school (Texas). Heading into the summer months, the local prospect is the nation's No. 60 overall player and the No. 9 safety. http://www.scout.com/player/203856-atanza-vongor?s=360
In 2016, Vongor enjoyed a strong junior season as he recorded 71 tackles, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and six pass breakups from his safety position. Vongor also ran for 305 yards and three touchdowns and returned a kickoff for a score.
"This guy is able to make plays no matter where he lines up on the football field," said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Powers. "When you evaluate him standing next to some of the other top safety prospects in the state, he definitely passes the eye-ball test."
In the video above, Powers talks about the soon to be senior and his thoughts on TCU landing the safety.
