Scott With Many Choices

As of right now, Skyler Scott holds 26 offers from various schools. Schools that are among leaders are Kansas, Texas Tech, TCU, Purdue, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma. Skyler Scott wants football to get going again. "Right now I want to have more receiving yards and I want to get stronger. I want to score 20 touchdowns. I'm excited," Scott told BigPurpleNation.com. The 6'3 195 pound wide receiver is transferring from Laredo United to West Mesquite after a 43 catch, 744 yards, and 12 touchdowns season. "Last year I was First Team All-District Offense and Second All-District Defense, and I only played five games on defense."

While Scott has been a tremendous talent on the offensive side of the ball, the senior is hopeful to get the chance to play defense at the next level. "I think I want to play defense…..Right now they want me to come in as a wide receiver but I think I want to play defense."

As of right now, the 2009 recruit holds 26 offers from various schools. Schools that are among leaders are Kansas, Texas Tech, TCU, Purdue, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma. "Right now I don't anything about TCU. All I know is they got a great football team….they are about the third hardest team recruiting me," stated Scott.

The wide receiver has been really busy this summer playing seven on seven and taking summer classes. "I haven't visited any camps yet, I'm finishing summer school, then I will be attending the TCU camp and the Kansas camp," said the senior.

Scott will continue to field offers this summer and make probably make a decision during his senior year of football. "I am looking for a coaching staff that will take care of me. I want to go to a school with a family atmosphere," replied Scott when asked what he's was looking for at the next level.

The senior has a 3.2 GPA and will take the ACT later this summer.
