Currently ranked the 29th point guard in the 2009 recruiting class, Houston (Tex.) Strake Jesuit standout Tim Frazier already has offers from TCU, Penn State, Stanford, Stephen F. Austin, Wichita State, and Colorado State to name a few. Last weekend, the point guard made a trip to Fort Worth for an official visit.
"I liked it. The coaches were great and the team was great. It was a good experience. I had a good time," said Frazier to BigPurpleNation.com on Tuesday night. "I was definitely impressed with the family atmosphere and the coaches…The players have seemed to really already buy into the system. They were working hard and academic wise TCU is great."
Last year, Frazier averaged 15 points a game for Houston Stake Jesuit, leading the Crusaders to a 28-5 record. With the season fast approaching, Frazier is very excited to start his senior year.
"I know we are going to have a great team and a great season. We are going to have a lot of hype," said Frazier. Even with all the hype surrounding the Crusaders, the point guard is not worried about his team not living up to expectations.
"I think for some people it might make it harder, but for me even though we might be one of the top teams in the state I come to the gym with a chip on my shoulder."
The senior will look to make his decision early in the fall. "I'm pretty sure I'm trying to get these visits out of the way so I can be ready by the early signing period," Frazier said. "If it doesn't work out, because it is a big decision for me, and I'm not ready then I'll definitely hold off. But I'd like to get it over with as soon as possible."
Currently he has only made official visits to TCU and Penn State. When asked who his early leaders were, he said he did not have any but the two official visits were high on his list.
