It's the second time Jackson has received MWC Player of the Week honors. The first occasion came in his collegiate debut. With TCU trailing Baylor 7-0 at the half in the 2006 season opener, Jackson came off the bench to complete 11-of-13 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns to rally the Horned Frogs to a 17-7 win in Waco.
Against San Diego State, Jackson was making just his second collegiate start. He rushed for a career-high 131 yards on 27 carries with scoring runs of 9 and 3 yards. It was his second 100-yard game in the last three contests. He ran for 115 yards at SMU (Sept. 20).
Jackson completed 10-of-19 passes for 115 yards, including a 3-yard scoring toss to Shae Reagan.
A junior from Houston, Jackson was instrumental in the Frogs running 90 plays from scrimmage compared to just 41 for the Aztecs. TCU held a 43:29 to 16:31 edge in time of possession.
