Men's Basketball Set to Host Lithuania

The TCU men's basketball program will open its' 2008-09 campaign as the Horned Frogs play host to Lithuania Christian University on Monday (Nov. 3) at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum with game time slated for 7:00 p.m. The best part about the game is it's FREE!

The TCU men's basketball program will open its' 2008-09 campaign as the Horned Frogs play host to Lithuania Christian University on Monday (Nov. 3) at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum with game time slated for 7:00 p.m.

Fans will get their first opportunity to catch a glimpse of the new-look Frogs under the direction of first-year head men's basketball coach Jim Christian. The faithful of the Purple and White will also get an opportunity to become familiar with the new faces that will fill out the 2008-09 roster. In addition to returning lettermen Kevin Langford (Fort Worth, Texas | University of California), John Ortiz (Cali, Colombia | Colby C.C.), Jason Ebie (Houston, Texas | Alief Elsik H.S.) and Keion Mitchem (Rochester, N.Y. | Rochester East H.S.) - the Frogs will showcase seven new faces for the upcoming campaign.

This will be the third consecutive season that the Frogs have played an exhibition game against Lithuania Christian University as the Purple and White hold a 2-0 advantage over their international opponents. Last season - the Frogs posted a 118-54 victory while the 2006-07 team recorded a 103-64 triumph over Lithuania Christian University.

The game will be free to all fans and can be heard over the airways courtesy of KTCU (88.9 FM) with the voices of the Frogs Brian Estridge and John Denton.

The Frogs will open up regular-season action on November 14th when the Purple and White squares-off against Western Michigan in the opening game of the ESPN Charleston Classic at the Carolina First Center in Charleston, S.C.
