Patterson Comments After Practice

A busy weekend full of bowl preparation and recruit wine and dining, TCU coach Gary Patterson met with the media after the team's Saturday morning practice. Hear what he had to say about the Auburn rumors inside!

After not commenting for two days on recent reports about the Auburn coaching situation, TCU coach Gary Patterson finally talked with the media after his team's Saturday morning practice. The coach at first said "I have no comment," but quickly added in a soft voice, "You watched me coach today. Does it look like I'm going anywhere?''

The truth is, Patterson was his same old self at practice and looked to be completely focused on getting this team ready for Boise State and the future.

For now it looks like TCU fans can stop holding their breaths. Sources did confirm to late last night, that Patterson met with Auburn officials Thursday about their head coaching vacancy.'s Chris Low reported yesterday that after meeting with officials, Patterson told Auburn he was not interested. If so, Auburn would be added to a long list of schools who have come knocking and been sent away.

Check for a full practice report tonight, including comments about having a few 2009 recruits attend practice today.
