TCU Beats UNLV, 80-73

With the victory - the Horned Frogs notched their third straight victory as TCU improved to 11-5 overall and 2-0 in Mountain West Conference action. UNLV dropped to 13-3 overall and 1-1 in Mountain West Conference action.

Edvinas Ruzgas (Vilnius, Lithuania | Weatherford College) notched his second straight double-digit game as the TCU guard collected 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting to go along with five rebounds in 39 minutes of action.

Ronnie Moss (Fort Worth, Texas | Christian Life Academy) scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting to go along with four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 23 minutes of court time to lead the Frogs.

Kevin Langford (Fort Worth, Texas | University of California) scored nine points to go along with three rebounds and three assists in 34 minutes of action. The TCU junior reached a milestone in the game as he became the 29th player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark for his career.

The Frogs overcame a strong three-point shooting effort by the Runnin' Rebels - including 10 treys in the first half of action - en route to securing the victory. In a game that featured 14 lead changes and 10 tied scores - the Frogs finished strong over the final minutes of the game to secure the victory.

For the game - TCU connected on 56.6 percent (30-of-53) of its field goal attempts while UNLV shot 50.0 percent (25-of-50) of its field goal attempts.

The Frogs dished out 20 assists in the game on 30 field goals made compared to a season-low eight turnovers. The Frogs out-rebounded their conference foes by a 32-23 margin and held a 32-14 advantage in points in the paint.

The Runnin' Rebels had four players in double figures with Joe Darver leading the way with 15 points while Rene Rougeau and Kendall Wallace each added 12 points, respectively.

The Frogs will travel to Provo, Utah, on Tuesday evening for a match-up against the reigning regular-season Mountain West Conference champions BYU.
