With the victory - the Frogs improved to 12-6 overall and 3-1 in Mountain West Conference action while the Falcons fell to 9-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
The final minute of action proved to provide the most excitement as the Frogs took a one-point lead at 55-54 after a three-point play by junior forward Zvonko Buljan (Split, Croatia | Vincennes University).
Buljan collected his third consecutive double-double with an 18-point, 11-rebound performance after the 6-8 forward connected on 7-of-11 shooting to go along with two assists and one blocked shot in 30 minutes of action.
The Falcons had an opportunity to take the lead but Grant Parker missed a pair of free throws with 44 seconds remaining in the game. The Frogs sealed the victory after Jason Ebie (Houston, Texas | Alief Elsik H.S.) drove the lane for a lay-in with 13 seconds left on the clock to give TCU a 57-54 lead. Air Force had two opportunities at the end of the game as three-pointers by Parker and Matt Holland both missed their mark.
Ebie tied a career-high with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting - including a pair of three-pointers - to go along with three assists, two steals and one rebounds in 27 minutes of action.
Edvinas Ruzgas (Vilnius, Lithuania | Weatherford College) collected his fifth consecutive double-digit scoring performance with 11 points - including a trio of three-pointers - 38 minutes of action.
As a team - the Frogs connected on 47.6 percent (20-of-42) of their field goal attempts to go along with nine three-pointers (eight coming in the first half of action).
The Frogs posted their first-ever victory over the Falcons at Clune Arena and snapped a two-game losing skid to the conference counterparts.
TCU will return to Mountain West Conference action on Wednesday (Jan. 21) when the Frogs welcome Wyoming to the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
