THE REGULAR signing period in college basketball begins today and Washington State has three openings available in its 2017 class. But the guess here is that new faces won't be announced by coach Ernie Kent until later in the process, which extends to May 17. Why? Two reasons.

As it normally does the recruiting process has sped up since the July evaluation periods ended. Top 100 commitments have started to pick up, thus there have been changes to the 2017 class rankings. Auburn still sits at No. 1 with Washington Illinois, UCLA and Louisville round out the current top five.
