John Christopher talks about the play that nearly won Temple's game against Notre Dame

The senior wide receiver looked back at the exciting game against the Irish, ahead to this Friday's game against SMU and talked about the development of the team's young receivers.

In the final frantic moments of Temple's 24-20 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday night, Owls quarterback P.J. Walker scrambled away from the rush to buy time.

His receivers tried to find an open space and senior John Christopher found some deep downfield. Walker saw him and threw a ball on a rope that seemed destined for Christopher's waiting hands until KeiVarae Russell made a diving interception to preserve the victory.

It was, the Owls' coaches and players agreed, a great play by one of the country's best defensive backs.

This week, Christopher looked back at how close the Owls came to making a game-changing play. He also discussed turning the page to this week's contest at SMU and addressed the development of Temple's core of young receivers, particularly blossoming freshman Ventell Bryant.
