Senior wide receiver Brandon Shippen is finishing career in style

The senior wide receiver had his best game of the season at a good time for the Owls.

Senior wide receiver Brandon Shippen is making the last few games of his career with the Temple football team count.

Shippen caught four passes for a team-high 45 yards on Saturday as the Owls wrapped up the American Athletic Conference East Division title with a  27-3 victory over Connecticut. The victory bought Shippen and his fellow seniors another game as they will compete at Houston next week for the conference title before playing in a bowl game.

Shippen suffered a separated shoulder in last week's win over Memphis but bounced back strong. Eight of his 14 receptions have come in the last three games.

Watch Shippen talk post-game Saturday about his recent resurgence and the Owls' championship performance.
