Coach Matt Rhule talks about Temple's 24-13 loss to Houston in the AAC Championship Game

The Owls were unable to overcome two early turnovers and lost the game despite outgaining the high-powered Cougars

HOUSTON - Woulda, coulda, shoulda -- that's probably the best way to describe Coach Matt Rhule's feelings after Temple lost to Houston, 24-13, at TDECU Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls held the Cougars to their lowest point total and fewest yards in the 12 games that quarterback Greg Ward started this season.  They also moved the ball with pretty good success, especially in the second half.  But an early interception by P.J. Walker and a fumble by Robby Anderson put the Owls into a hole from which they couldn't recover.  And Houston's defense stood firm in the second half, allowing just one Temple touchdown.
