Quenton DeCosey and Daniel Dingle led Temple past Connecticut in a thriller Thursday

Dingle helped the Owls overcome a 12-point deficit with a barrage of three-point shots and DeCosey hit the game-winning three-point play and clinched the win over the Huskies with clutch free-throw shooting.

The Temple men's basketball team was staring at a 12-point deficit against Connecicut with less than six minutes to play when Daniel Dingle drained a three-pointer.

He hit another to make it a 56-51 game and a third from a pass of an offensive rebound that cut the UConn lead to two and sent the crowd of over 8,000 into a frenzy.

DeCosey took it from there, scoring the Owls' last nine points, including a go-ahead three-point play with 1:10 to play and four clinching free throws as Temple beat Connecticut, 63-58, for their second win over the Huskies this season.

DeCosey finished with 23 points and Dingle added a career high 15 - 12 off four three-pointers - as Temple improved to 15-8 overall and 9-3 in the American Athletic Conference, tied for first in the league.
