It had a been a long one-year wait for the Temple men's basketball team since last year's NCAA Tournament snub.
And the last 24 hours probably felt like a year after losing in the American Athletic Conference semifinal to eventual champion Connecticut.
But just a few minutes into the NCAA selection show, the Owls heard their name called. They will play in Brooklyn on Friday as a No. 10 seed against No. 7 Iowa, coached by Philadelphia native Fran McCaffery, and a win will set up a likely Big 5 showdown with Villanova.
After last year's disappointment, they will certainly take it.
