There's no doubting the Temple football team will miss Tyler Matakevich.

The linebacker won several national Defensive Player of the Year awards and is one of the best defensive players to ever put on a Temple uniform.

But the Owls can take solace in knowing their returning linebackers have a good amount of experience. Senior Jarred Alwan started the first game of his career as a true freshman three years ago and last year notched 10 starts on a stalwart defense.

Aloing with redshirt seniors Avery Williams and Stephaun Marshall and some solid younger players expected to see time as well, the Owls seem to be set at a position where they lost one of the best players in the country,
