RB Jahad Thomas is one of the Temple stars playing his last home game

Thomas ran for 1,200 yards last year and has been a big part of the Owls' resurgence the past few seasons.

Jahad Thomas has bloissomed into a standout running back in his four years at Temple, after joining the program from Elizabeth (N.J.) High School along with quarterback Phillip Walker.

Thomas hit the field three games into his career, playing as a true freshman. He became more a part of the offense as a sophomore and broke out for a 1,200-yard season as the feature back during his junior campaign.

Despite a hand injury that limited him at the start of the season, Thomas and sophomore Ryquell Armstead have made a stellar 1-2 punch as Temple has put together an 8-3 record in 2016. On Saturday night, Thomas and Walker will play their final home game along with the other seniors in a key contest against East Carolina.

A win advances the Owls to next week's American Athletic Conference championship game next week.

Listen to Thomas talk about Saturday night's game and his journey with Walker over the years in the above video.
