Temple's Avery Williams heading home to Maryland for AAC final

The redshirt senior will be playing near his Maryland home and will be part of a defensive front seven tasked with stopping Navy's triple option.

Avery Williams hasn't played a game in Maryland since leaving his hometown of Baltimore amd Archbishop Curley High School to become a Temple Owl.

But in the penultimate game of his college career, Williams is headed close to home as Temple meets Navy in the American Athletic Conference championship game Saturday.

Williams talked about the excitement of heading home and the challenge the Owls face against a Navy triple option offense that is firing on all cylinders in a video interview following practice this week.
