2004 Recruiting Prospect: Josh Satterthwait

Another footballer from Lassiter High School in Georgia could be looking at getting himself in an orange jersey for his college career.

Josh Satterthwait is a tight end / defensive end prospect from Marietta, GA. He is an excellent athlete that also plays on Lassiter's #1 ranked LaCrosse team. At 6-5 and 240 pounds, Satterthwait has the frame to play several different positions by the time he fills out. Filling out is something that he is doing now despite playing a sport in LaCrosse that is not conducive to gaining weight. He has added 15 pounds since last fall and is working on getting stronger and quicker.

Satterthwait has plans on attending several camps this summer, but like many active high school athletes, he has not made any plans for the summer yet.

"I'm going to the Nike camp at Auburn in May for sure," said Satterthwait. "Vanderbilt also invited me up to a camp this summer, but I'm not sure which ones I am going to yet. All of the schools are recruiting me as a tight end right now. I like schools like Auburn, Tennessee, UT-Chattanooga, Georgia Southern, and UCF. I'm really pretty wide open though."

Satterthwait has very good hands, and he has set some very attainable goals for himself this spring and summer.

"I want to keep learning to run my routes better, and I want to work in getting faster."

Satterthwait is already a big player, and as he keeps growing and getting stronger, his stock as a prospect will continue to rise.
