IT picks the SEC

Three intra-conference matchups highlight a seven-game SEC schedule this weekend. The marquee game, of course, sees defending SEC East champ Florida (4-0) visiting defending national champ Alabama (4-0).

The other league contests have Tennessee traveling to LSU and Kentucky invading Ole Miss.

InsideTennessee's picks panelists ran hot and cold last week. Dave Hooker and Josh Woodward posted 6-1 records. Chris Price was 5-2. James Bryant and yours truly went 4-3 each.

That said, here are the Week 5 picks, plus the year-to-date records:

Randy Moore (29-7)

FLORIDA AT ALABAMA: A preview of the SEC Championship Game. Tide, 24-20

LA. MONROE AT AUBURN: Monroe is a team you play in Week 1, not Week 5. Auburn, 49-10

GEORGIA AT COLORADO: The Dawgs desperately need a win, and the Buffaloes will oblige. Georgia, 27-14

KENTUCKY AT OLE MISS: This Ole Miss team is schizophrenic ... but it looked good last week. Rebels, 34-27

ALCORN STATE AT MISS. STATE: Bulldogs must guard against a post-Georgia letdown. MSU, 31-17

VANDERBILT AT UCONN: If the Dores could win at Oxford, they should be able to win at Storrs. Vandy, 27-24

TENNESSEE AT LSU: The Vols can't play any worse than they did last week. Still ... LSU, 20-10

James Bryant (25-11)

FLORIDA AT ALABAMA: Alabama in a close one, 31-28

LA. MONROE AT AUBURN: Auburn in a snoozer, 45-14

GEORGIA AT COLORADO: If Georgia don't win this one Mark Richt may be gone next week. Dawgs, 28-27

KENTUCKY AT OLE MISS: Which Ole Miss team will show up? I have to think Kentucky can win this one 28-24 unless they are still Kentucky

Dave Hooker (32-4)

FLORIDA AT ALABAMA: Crimson Tide are just too good, 24-16

LA. MONROE AT AUBURN: Auburn won't need a fourth quarter comeback this week, 45-10

GEORGIA AT COLORADO: Surely. Surely, Georgia finds a way to win this week with A.J. Green, 26-13

KENTUCKY AT OLE MISS: The Wildcats roll despite Ole Miss' recent, uh, resurgence, 24-16

ALCORN STATE AT MISS. STATE: State wins. Mississippi State, 33-10

VANDERBILT AT UCONN: Vanderbilt in a tight contest, 17-16

TENNESSEE AT LSU: LSU is just too good, 35-17

Josh Woodward (27-9)

FLORIDA AT ALABAMA: 24-17 Bama looks unbeatable

LA. MONROE AT AUBURN: 41-17 Tigers keep on rolling

GEORGIA AT COLORADO: 21-17 Georgia gets a much needed win

KENTUCKY AT OLE MISS: 28-21 Wildcats in a close game

ALCORN STATE AT MISS. STATE: 35-21 Bulldogs looking good

VANDERBILT AT UCONN: 21-17 UCONN gets the win at home

TENNESSEE AT LSU: 24-17 Tigers are to tough at home.

Chris Price (31-5)

FLORIDA AT ALABAMA: Alabama is on a mission and Florida doesn't have the offense. Tide rolls through the Gators, 33-17.

LA. MONROE AT AUBURN: Auburn is feeling good and won't let a lesser opponent spoil the party. Auburn, 48-10.

GEORGIA AT COLORADO: AJ Green is back. Too little too late, but the Dogs will get a decent win under their belt. Dogs, 27-13.

KENTUCKY AT OLE MISS: This one is tough, but I have developed a picking prejudice against the Rebels, so Cats, 23-14.

ALCORN STATE AT MISS. STATE: Mississippi State is coming off a big win so this will be closer than it should. Mississippi State, 26-20.

VANDERBILT AT UCONN: UCONN is no joke and stop Vandy one short of an actual winning streak. Huskies, 26-3.

TENNESSEE AT LSU: Tennessee's offensive line will struggle against an extremely talented LSU defensive line. Tigers are too much for UT to handle. LSU, 20-10.
