Brandon Barrett will be one of the nation's most sought after wide receiver prospects this season. He plays for Martinsburg High School in West Virginia.
is a super prospect from the state of West Virginia. Barrett, 6-1 and 180 pounds, is a two-way star for Martinsburg High School. Last season as a junior, Barrett caught 71 passes for 1,350 yards and 26 touchdowns. As a cornerback, he intercepted 13 passes and returned five of those for touchdowns. He is also a standout kick returner.
"I just go out there and try and run good patterns," Barrett said. "I catch everything that is thrown my way. I try and make something happen. I want to go out there and make a play and make people miss. My mission is to find that endzone.
"Defensively, I play cornerback and like to call it pay back for what they try and do to me as a wide receiver. I am more motivated on defense. But I prefer to play offense because I want the ball."
According to Barrett, he has scholarship offers from Marshall, West Virginia, Syracuse and Duke.
"My two leaders are Ohio State and Michigan. I just have always liked those teams. When they play against each other, I root for Ohio State. I also like Florida, Miami and Notre Dame. Right now, I prefer to leave the state and start fresh and try and do something different."
