IT picks the SEC

Two sets of unbeaten Tigers collide for the SEC West lead Saturday when LSU and Auburn meet on The Plains. Both teams are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Another intriguing matchup finds resurgent Georgia (3-4, 2-3) visiting a Kentucky team (4-3, 1-3) that is coming off a huge upset of South Carolina.

In other games, Ole Miss (3-3, 1-2) invades Arkansas (4-2, 1-2), South Carolina (4-2, 2-2) visits Vanderbilt (2-4, 1-2), Alabama (6-1, 3-1) travels to Tennessee (2-4, 0-3) and UAB (2-4) visits Mississippi State (5-2, 2-2).

Each of the five InsideTennessee picks panelists went 4-2 last week, missing on Kentucky's upset of South Carolina and Mississippi State's upset of Florida. Dave Hooker and Chris Price continue to share the season lead with 45-11 records.

Here are the Week 8 picks, plus the year-to-date records:

Randy Moore (42-14)

OLE MISS AT ARKANSAS: Hogs are too explosive, whether Ryan Mallett is 100 percent or not. Arkansas, 37-24

LSU AT AUBURN: Mad Hatter (Les Miles) vs. Mobile Monster (Cam Newton). I'm going with the MM. Auburn, 27-17

S. CAROLINA AT VANDERBILT: The Commodores historically give the Cocks trouble. This time ... not so much. SC, 31-14

UAB AT MISSISSIPPI STATE: The Bulldogs will be flat after winning at Florida. But not THAT flat ... MSU, 27-10

GEORGIA AT KENTUCKY: Mark Richt's remarkable resurgence continues. Dawgs, 34-24

ALABAMA AT TENNESSEE: Derek Dooley makes Bama sound almost invincible. He's convinced me. Tide, 31-13

James Bryant (37-19)

OLE MISS AT ARKANSAS: Arkansas should win this one, 38-27

LSU AT AUBURN: A big Tiger win, question is which Tigers. I got to go with the home team. Auburn, 21-20

S.CAROLINA AT VANDERBILT: South Carolina will rebound, 31-21

UAB AT MISSISSIPPI STATE: State should win this one, 38-27

GEORGIA AT KENTUCKY: The winner of this one will have the upper hand in the EAST. Wildcats get the win, 31-28

ALABAMA AT TENNESSEE: Well heck, hate to say it but should be all Alabama in this one, 31-21

Dave Hooker (45-11)

OLE MISS AT ARKANSAS: Think Razorback fans miss Houston Nutt? I don't. Arkansas wins, 30-10

LSU AT AUBURN: Les Miles' luck finally runs out. Surely. Maybe. Possibly? Auburn, 21-20

S.CAROLINA AT VANDERBILT: Can the Gamecocks handle such a daunting road venue? Yes, 33-9

UAB AT MISSISSIPPI STATE: Dan Mullen and the Bulldogs won't slip up here, 35-10

GEORGIA AT KENTUCKY: The Bulldogs are resurgent, but they'll have to fight this week. Georgia, 24-23

ALABAMA AT TENNESSEE: Here's something uplifting for UT fans: Derek Dooley wants to make the Vols look like this year's Alabama squad. Bama, 32-13

Josh Woodward (40-16)

OLE MISS AT ARKANSAS: 48-35, Arkansas bounces back after the track meet with Auburn

LSU AT AUBURN: LSU can't stop Cam Newton. Auburn, 28-24

S. CAROLINA AT VANDERBILT: Vanderbilt is awful. Carolina, 35-14

UAB AT MISSISSIPPI STATE: 35-28 Bulldogs over Blazers in a close one

GEORGIA AT KENTUCKY: 34-27 Georgia over the Wildcats

ALABAMA AT TENNESSEE: 28-17 Crimson Tide just too strong

Chris Price (45-11)

OLE MISS AT ARKANSAS: Arkansas has too much offense for Houston Nutt's squad. Ryan Mallett or not, it doesn't seem to matter. Hogs, 38-17.

LSU AT AUBURN: Battle of the Tigers. Surely the Devil is done making deals with Lucky Les. LSU has the defense, but not the offense. Auburn, 23-13.

S. CAROLINA AT VANDERBILT: South Carolina is ready to bounce back, not that you need much motivation to beat the 'Dores. Cocks, 48-10.

UAB AT MISSISSIPPI STATE: If this was away from home I might call it a trap game, but Mullen will have his team ready. Just watch some UT-UAB film. State, 31-17.

GEORGIA AT KENTUCKY: Could be the best game of the week. How will Kentucky handle last week's success? Dogs are still playing inspired football. Dogs, 34-14.

ALABAMA AT TENNESSEE: Throw all the numbers out the window, right? Its a rivalry. Sorry, I just can't do that. Tide takes over Neyland again, 45-10.
