It's all about representing his high school for one UT commitment.
Alan Posey has big shoes to fill especially when it comes to caring on his high school traditions.
Two other Vols played at the same Clark Central High School as Posey does, Derek Dooley and Chuck Smith.
"Coach Dooley keeps reminding me that he won a state championship there his junior year," laughed Posey. "We had an undefeated regular season that hasn't happen in a while here."
Posey led his team to an undefeated regular season, but his team fell short of a state championship, falling in the second round.
Posey got a chance to take in the Vols game against Alabama.
"We always play great in the first half," Posey said. "It has a lot to do with all the young players we have on this team."
Posey was impressed with the game day atmosphere.
"It was incredible," Posey said. "I brought a couple of teammates with me, they really loved it here."
Posey got the opportunity to visit with Coach Dooley.
"He is really happy that I'm a Vol," Posey said. "He is very excited about this recruiting class."
How does Posey feel about his pledge to the Vols?
"I'm 100 percent Vol," Posey said. "There is no doubt."
Posey is also excited about the future of the Vols.
"We got such a young team," Posey said. "Tyler looks solid at quarterback; he is definitely the future for our team."
Posey plans on taking his official visit either in December or January, he hasn't scheduled it yet.
