One Georgia prospect has had Tennessee on the mind a lot.

Cartersville's lineman J.D. Jones has made three unofficial visits to Rocky Top this fall; did his last one help him get a possible official visit offer?

"I had sent Coach Chuck Smith my film and he said he liked it a lot," Jones told InsideTennessee.com Monday afternoon. "We talked about setting up an official visit in the next month or so."

Jones, who has attended games in Knoxville for the Oregon, Alabama and Kentucky games, is impressed with the Vols.

"I watched a team get a lot better throughout the season," Jones said. "The first two games I watched didn't go so well, it was great to see the Vols in the lock room after the Kentucky game."

Jones is currently holding offers from Memphis, Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee State; an offer from Tennessee would be a dream come true.

"I love it there," Jones said. "I got to know the coaching staff a lot this summer. I attended one of their camps and they liked me at the center position. Coach Smith told me Saturday he likes me at the DT position, I'm not sure where they are recruiting me for."

Jones grew up close to Da'Rick Rogers and Nash Nance and has like the Vols for a long time.

"I love the atmosphere there," Jones said. "The stadium is incredible. I definitely could see myself playing there."
