IT picks the SEC

If InsideTennessee's picks panel is correct, unbeaten Auburn will move to 13-0 by defeating South Carolina in Saturday's SEC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome.

Four of the five SEC Picks panelists favor the Tigers. Only James Bryant projects the Gamecocks to prevail.

Chris Price won the regular-season picks title with a 79-17 record. Dave Hooker finished a game back at 78-18. Yours truly was third at 76-20, followed by Josh Woodward (71-25) and James Bryant (68-28).

Here are the Championship Game picks, plus the regular-season records:

Randy Moore (76-20)

AUBURN VS. SOUTH CAROLINA: I would seriously consider picking South Carolina if Steven Garcia were close to 100-percent healthy. Assuming Spurrier isn't playing mind games and Garcia is legitimately banged up, I have to go with Auburn. Tigers, 34-27

James Bryant (68-28)

AUBURN VS. SOUTH CAROLINA: Can Steve Spurrier pull off the upset? Sure he can, the big question is will he? Can they stop Cam? Alabama couldn't, the NCAA couldn't, at least not yet. The Underdog has done well in this game, something tells me they will again. Gamecocks, 28-24.

Dave Hooker (78-18)

AUBURN VS. SOUTH CAROLINA: Don't rule out the Ole' Ball Coach in a big game, especially with a suspect Auburn secondary on the field. However, the Tigers just seem like a team of destiny. Auburn, 35-34.

Josh Woodward (71-25)

AUBURN VS. SOUTH CAROLINA: South Carolina looks to spoil Auburn's dream season, but will not be snubbed like they were in 2004. Look for South Carolina to play clock control, but it simply won't be enough. An NCAA cleared Cam Newton will lead the Tigers to an easy win. Auburn, 31-24

Chris Price (79-17)

AUBURN VS. SOUTH CAROLINA: The only thing that makes me hesitant about this game is the fact that they have already met once this year. It is so tough to beat a team twice in the same season. On top of that Spurrier has had two weeks to prepare for this game. All that being said, I am still taking Auburn. Cam Newton won't be stopped short of the BCS National Title game now. If they were going to hit a road block it was a week ago. Newton will take over in the second half. Auburn 48, South Carolina 31
