IT picks the SEC

InsideTennessee's panel of experts had considerable success making their SEC football picks in 2010 ... but they couldn't leave well enough alone.

That said, here are their picks for the upcoming bowl games involving SEC teams:

Randy Moore

Music City (Dec. 30): How else could a fairytale finish conclude? Tennessee 31, North Carolina 27

Liberty (Dec. 31): Mark Richt wraps up a disappointing season on a positive note. Georgia 38, Central Florida 28

Chick fil-A (Dec. 31): Gamecocks tend to stink at bowl time under Spurrier. Florida State 31, South Carolina 24

Outback (Jan. 1): Shouldn't Joe Pa be the one retiring, instead of Urban Meyer? Florida 27, Penn State 21

Capital One (Jan. 1): Nick Saban's current team beats his former team. Alabama 38, Michigan State 20

Gator (Jan. 1): Man, I love to see SEC teams whip up on Big Ten teams. Mississippi State 27, Michigan 14

Sugar (Jan. 4): Ryan Mallett adds a couple more million to his NFL signing bonus. Arkansas 35, Ohio State 24

Cotton (Jan. 7): "Chief" has the Tigers' defense playing well. LSU 27, Texas A&M 10

Papajohns (Jan. 8): I admit it: I'm an SEC sheep. Kentucky 28, Pitt 24

BCS title game (Jan. 10): Auburn vs. Oregon: Oregon 48 over Auburn 45

Dave Hooker

Music City (Dec. 30): Tennessee vs. North Carolina: The Vols have more to play for while the Tar Heels, who might be more talented, are ready for the season to be over. Vols, 28-17

Liberty (Dec. 31): Georgia vs. Central Florida: The Bulldogs found their way after A.J. Green returned - sort of. Still, they're good enough to beat UCF, 35-13

Chick fil-A (Dec. 31): Florida State vs. South Carolina: South Carolina is coming off a SEC Championship hangover. FSU, 30-23

Outback (Jan. 1): Florida vs. Penn State: Win one for the whiner. Gators, 40-17

Capital One (Jan. 1): Alabama vs. Michigan State: SEC versus Big Ten. Nuff said. Bama, 24-13

Gator (Jan. 1): Mississippi State vs. Michigan: At least these two defenses will know what to expect. They see similar styles in practice. MSU, 28-27

Sugar (Jan. 4): Arkansas vs. Ohio State: Allow karma to prevail over Ohio State, which should have five players suspended for the Sugar Bowl. Arkansas, 30-16

Cotton (Jan. 7): LSU vs. Texas A&M: LSU should earn some respect in a familiar home-away-from-home. Tigers, 21-20

Papajohns (Jan. 8): Kentucky vs. Pitt: Kentucky had higher hopes than the pizza bowl. Panthers, 21-20

BCS title game (Jan. 10): Auburn vs. Oregon: Too much girth and strength while the speed should off-set. Auburn, 40-33

Josh Woodward

Music City (Dec. 30): Tennessee vs. North Carolina: 28-20 Tennessee sends the Tar Heels packing back to the NC.

Liberty (Dec. 31): Georgia vs. Central Florida: 34-21 Bulldogs will play well and be picked to win the National Championship next year.

Chick fil-A (Dec. 31): Florida State vs. South Carolina: 28-21 South Carolina. The Ol' Ball Coach schools the newcomer.

Outback (Jan. 1): Florida vs. Penn State: 28-20 Florida sends Urban out with a win.

Capital One (Jan. 1): Alabama vs. Michigan State: 38-26 Crimson Tide look good against the Spartans

Gator (Jan. 1): Mississippi State vs. Michigan: 24-17 Bulldogs and Dan Mullen show Michigan how to run the spread.

Sugar (Jan. 4): Arkansas vs. Ohio State: 35-28 Ohio State finally beats a SEC team.

Cotton (Jan. 7): LSU vs. Texas A&M: 31-30 LSU, Lucky Les is all I have to say.

Papajohns (Jan. 8): Kentucky vs. Pitt: 42-38 Pitt grabs a couple of turnovers to beat the Wildcats.

BCS title game (Jan. 10): Auburn vs. Oregon: 44-31 Tigers keep the SEC streak alive by beating the Ducks.

Chris Price

Music City (Dec. 30): Tennessee vs. North Carolina: Tennessee is going to struggle with the size of Carolina. Their strength is the run, Tennessee's the pass. Cold weather will hurt the Vols. Tar Heels 31-17.

Liberty (Dec. 31): Georgia vs. Central Florida: Is this really a bowl game? I know Georgia isn't great, but the extra bowl practice helps. Dogs 38-13.

Chick fil-A (Dec. 31): Florida State vs. South Carolina: South Carolina faltered down the stretch while State topped the Gators. FSU rides the momentum to a win. Noles 31-27.

Outback (Jan. 1): Florida vs. Penn State: Florida just doesn't have it on offense. Would be nice to see Joe Pa go out on a high note, but he never goes out. Penn State 34-20.

Capital One (Jan. 1): Alabama vs. Michigan State: Alabama may not have come out of the West, but they are still one of the best teams in the country. Tide rolls 33-17.

Gator (Jan. 1): Mississippi State vs. Michigan: Michigan may actually make the Big Ten look good in this one. I like Miss St. with the prep time, but it won't be enough. Wolverines 27-10.

Sugar (Jan. 4): Arkansas vs. Ohio State: Ohio State will still be winless against the SEC after this one. Ryan Mallet propels the Razorback to a win. Hogs 48-33.

Cotton (Jan. 7): LSU vs. Texas A&M: Lucky Les just seems to snag wins. The Tigers out-athlete almost everybody and this matchup isn't any different. Tigers 34-13.

Papajohns (Jan. 8): Kentucky vs. Pitt: I like Pitt. They have a talented running game and Kentucky won't be able to match it. Pitt 27-10.

BCS title game (Jan. 10): Auburn vs. Oregon: Although the story is offense I am anxious to watch the defense in this game. I am going to take the SEC and say Newton goes out on a high note. War Eagle 45-33.
