One position that doesn't seem to be lacking a number of good prospects is that of running back in the state of Tennessee.
If you want speed and talented runners you don't have to look any farther than West Tennessee and the Memphis area.
One of those talented running backs is Ridgeway High School's Jaylen Walton.
InsideTennessee.com recently caught up with Walton to find out how recruiting is going for him and gage his interest in the University of Tennessee.
Some have Walton listed with an offer from Tennessee, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
"I have over 10 offers right now," Walton said. "Tennessee hasn't offered me yet, they are showing some interest."
"The Tennessee coaches have called my high school coaches a couple of times," Walton said. "I haven't got the chance to call them yet."
Does Walton have interest in Tennessee?
"Yes sir," Walton said. "I definitely can see myself playing there."
Walton, a 5-foot-8, 162-pound athlete who 4.32 forty speed, is hoping to take in Tennessee's Junior Day this coming weekend. He was scheduled to attend Mississippi State's Junior Day this past weekend.
Walton finished his junior season with 2,292 yards and scored 30 touchdowns.
