Crest High School (Shelby, NC) defensive end Jonathan Bullard came away from Rocky Top impressed with his experience.
"It was a good experience," Bullard said after Saturday's event. "I heard it was a great place, I got the opportunity to see it firsthand."
It appears that Bullard didn't realize how nice things were in Knoxville.
"I didn't know it was such a nice place, it's really nice," Bullard said. "They have some of the best facilities I have seen."
Does Bullard have an early favorite?
"Right now I don't have a top five yet," Bullard said. "I'm still checking schools out, trying to get a feel for all the schools."
Saturday was the first opportunity for Bullard to meet the entire Tennessee coaching staff.
"They are really nice coaches," Bullard said. "I got a chance to meet each one of them and visit with them."
According to Bullard, he most likely won't wait to National Signing Day before making a decision.
"I don't plan on taking a long time with my decision," Bullard said. "I want to get the decision out of the way before my senior season."
Bullard is listed at 6-foot-4, 250-pounds and is expected to be rated one of the top defensive linemen in the country. His junior season he was named Big South Conference's Defensive Player of the Year, he had 107 tackles, including 25 for a loss and 16 sacks.
