Tennessee continues to recruit SC

Derek Dooley and his coaching staff has had some success recruiting South Carolina, it appears that won't be stopping in the near future. One of South Carolina's top defensive linemen David Deleon made the trip to Knoxville this past Saturday to take part in the Volunteer's Junior Day. Go "Inside" to get Deleon's thoughts on Tennessee.

Derek Dooley and his coaching staff has had some success recruiting South Carolina, it appears that won't be stopping in the near future.

One of South Carolina's top defensive linemen David Deleon made the trip to Knoxville this past Saturday to take part in the Volunteer's Junior Day.

"I really enjoyed it," Deleon told InsideTennessee.com. "I really love the family feel there, a lot more so than any other program I have seen so far."

How does Tennessee rank with DeLeon, does he have an early favorite?

"Tennessee is definitely in my top two or three," Deleon said. "Illinois, Tennessee and Colorado would be my top three in no particular order."

Deleon is listed at 6-foot-1, 260-pounds and one of his main goals is to continue to get bigger, faster and stronger.

"I'm eating the right foods," Deleon said. "I'm working out a lot, I want to get gain more weight and get ready to play college football."

Deleon is currently holding offers from over eight schools, including Tennessee, Colorado, Duke, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Texas Tech, and Tulane.

Deleon discovered several new things about the University of Tennessee.

"They have some of the nicest facilities I have seen so far," Deleon said. "I love the indoor facility.

So far Deleon has visited Tennessee, Clemson and South Carolina.
