Recruiting appears to be picking up steam for one of Maryland's top defenders.
According to Pomfret Maryland's defensive end Allen Jackson he has recently picked up three new offers.
While Jackson is holding four offers, he claims no early offers.
"I really don't have any favorites right now," Jackson said. "Im open to everyone right now, everyone has a fair shot."
Jackson, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound athlete who has 4.7 speed in the forty, also has interest in the University of Tennessee.
"I have heard a lot of good things about their program," Jackson admitted. "I have been told the area is really great, I'm hoping to take an unofficial visit there soon."
While some high school prospects get stressed with the recruiting process, it appears that Jackson won't be one that does.
"I'm enjoying it," Jackson said. "I got my first offer from Maryland right before my first game as a junior. It's been fun so far."
Tennessee's past success and tradition is something else that Jackson is aware of.
"I know they are always a pretty good team," Jackson said. "They have a lot of great tradition."
