Every Tennessee Football fan is wondering when the Vols will get its next commitment.

They also wondering when Derek Dooley and his staff may get some desperately need help on the defensive line.

It looks perhaps that help is on its way.

InsideTennessee.com spoke to Louisiana athlete Gerron Borne Sunday evening to get his impressions on the Vols.

"I got a visit to my school from Coach Joseph last week," Borne said. "Tennessee is definitely my leader right now."

There appears to be several reasons the 6-foot-2, 270-pound athlete likes the Vols as one of his top schools.

"I really like their coaching staff a lot," Borne said. "I also know how much they need defensive tackles there, I feel like I will get a chance to play early there."

Borne finished his junior season with 45 tackles and eight sacks. He claims he bench presses 330-pounds, squats 485 and has a 27 inch vertical leap.

While Borne hasn't been on a visit to Rocky Top, he plans on changing that this summer.

"I will take a visit there July 18," Borne said. "I plan on making my decision before my senior season, so if my visit goes will there is a great chance I will pull the trigger while I'm there."

Borne reports offers from Tennessee, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Illinois and Arizona.

Borne talks about his talents and work ethic.

"I bring a lot of intensity to the line. I can put a lot of pressure on the quarterback. I'm also a good leader out on the field."

Borne plans on working on several things this summer and fall.

"I want to work on getting off the line quicker and being quicker in general," Borne said. "I ‘m also working on my technique and swim moves."
