Defensive lineman David Deleon has been Rocky Top on a couple of other occasions and has liked what he saw.
Saturday he got the opportunity to witness just how it would be to be coached as if he was a Volunteer.
"It was very exciting, a lot of great competition today," Deleon told InsideTennessee.com. "I learned a lot of new stuff."
Deleon said that he is considering Tennessee very highly on his list.
"They actually in my top two," Deleon admitted. "Tennessee and Illinois would have to be my top two right now."
Deleon and his teammate Martin Aiken also came up for Tennessee Junior Day earlier in the spring.
According to the talented D-lineman, he got the chance Saturday at the Vols OL vs DL camp to visit more with the Vols coaching staff.
"Just getting to talk to them and to get to know them better," Deleon said. "They are a great group of coaches."
Deleon, a 6-foot-2, 270 pound defensive tackle, currently has offers from Tennessee, Colorado, Connecticut, Duke, East Carolina, Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, Pittsburgh, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest to mention a few.
As a junior he finished the year with 89 tackles, 23 for losses, seven sacks and two forced fumbles.
Deleon is hoping to make a decision in late July or early August.
