Its been a long time coming.
For one of Tennessee's top high school prospects has been waiting for an offer from the University of Tennessee, that time has arrived.
Redmond and teammate Brian Kimbrow spent two days at the Vols summer camp last week, walking away with that exclusive offer.
"It was great to get that offer from Tennessee," Redmond said. "Now that they have offered they are definitely in my Top 5, really they are in my top 3."
It appears that it was Redmond's performance was the key to his offer from the Vols.
"I locked down every wide out that I went up against," Redmond said. "I had a great performance there."
Redmond had previous tweaked his groin and wasn't required to run the forty for the Vols.
"They told me I could come back and run in it July," Redmond said. "They didn't want me to run it during camp. I was basically finished after the first session, after that I just spent time getting to know everyone."
Redmond got the opportunity to meet the entire coaching staff, a group that made him feel at home.
"I like the coaching staff a lot," Redmond said. "They are real. They are easy to talk to."
