Tallahassee middle linebacker Kadeem Thomas is planning on a trip to Rocky Top in the near future.

According to Thomas Tennessee is definitely a school that is recruiting him hard and that he wants to learn more about.

"I'm definitely going up there sometime this summer for a visit," Thomas told InsideTennessee.com "Tennessee is recruiting me a lot, I definitely have interest in them."

It appears that Thomas could be on the verge of receiving an offer from the Vols.

"They want to see me in person," Thomas said. "They said they really like the way I play and its between me and a couple of other linebackers that they may offer."

Thomas, a 6-foot-230-pound athlete, is rated as the No.26 middle linebacker in the country and is a three star prospect by Scout.com. He currently holds offer from Georgia Tech and Louisville.

One thing that is attracting Thomas to Tennessee is the fact that Derek Dooley doesn't mind playing freshmen, as long as they are the best player at the position.

"Wherever I go, I want to play early," Thomas said. "Tennessee will play the best player at the position no matter how old they are. I know they need linebackers at Tennessee."

Thomas is hoping for an offer from the Vols.

"It would be great," Thomas said. "I want to go up there and see what it's all about."
