"My commitment level is still the same," said Cross via phone interview. "I am solid on Tennessee, but I am still looking around at other schools."
Cross is being recruited primarily by Terry Joseph, the Vols' recruiting coordinator, who he still speaks with regularly and would never want to feel like he was heading somewhere else.
"You know I don't want to sit here, spit out names and make Tennessee feel like I am looking at everybody else, but I am just looking at some other places."
Cross plans to take all five of his official visits prior to signing day, but he will definitely be back in Knoxville this fall.
"I just like the direction they are going with Coach Dooley and the fact that they are trying to recruit the right people to build the program," said Cross.
Cross, a three-star player, is listed as the No. 35 running back in the 2012 class according to Scout. The Gainesville, Ga. native is listed at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, but says he is closer to 230 currently.
