As predicted by InsideTennessee.com (Story here), former Alabama associate athletic director Dave Hart has accepted the formal invitation to be the head athletic director at the University of Tennessee.

Hart interviewed last Monday and multiple sources indicated to InsideTennessee that he would accept the job. A week later, Hart will be introduced Monday night at 6:30.

Longtime Lady Vol athletics director Joan Cronan has been serving as Tennessee's interim AD since Mike Hamilton resigned the post on June 7. Hamilton was making a reported $500,000 per year. Hart makes a reported $325,000 in Tuscaloosa.

Although Mal Moore, 71, holds the athletics director title at Alabama, Hart reportedly handled much of the day-to-day aspects of the job. Hart will likely bring several of Bama's assistant ADs with him.
