NorCal Nike Camp MVP Goes To Cameron Colvin

In what was a loaded NorCal Nike camp, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle's Cameron Colvin earned Camp MVP honors after testing off the charts and looking very good in the position and one on one drills.

Colvin, 6-1, 186 pounds has everything you could want in a Div I receiver. He has a college body right now, showed good hands in the position and one on one drills and has that extra gear that you just can't coach.

When Colvin comes out of his breaks, his ability to separate from his defender is no like no other receiver we've seen at any of the Nike Camps this year. It's almost like Colvin hits another gear and then he's gone. He clocked a 4.31 in the 40, 3.85 in the shuttle, jumped 32 inches in the vertical and did 13 reps on the bench.

"I could have gotten more on the bench, but my shoulder was bugging me a little," Colvin said. "It's great we (other Spartan players) all did well, but we'll just continue to focus on all of our personal goals."

Colvin has offers from UCLA and ASU and lists both along with childhood favorite Miami, Florida and Texas as his top schools. At this early point in the year, Colvin has moved up to the top spot on our list of the best offensive recruits in the West region.
