Site publisher Josh Woodward correctly pegged LSU's defeat of Alabama last weekend and posted a 6-1 mark to pace InsideTennessee's picks panel. Everyone else went 5-2. Chris Price continues to hold the best season's record.
What follows are this week's SEC picks, with each staffer's year-to-date record in parenthesis:
CHRIS PRICE (60-13)
FLORIDA at South Carolina: This is probably one of the tougher games to pick on the docket this week. Both teams are still searching for their squads, but I think that the South Carolina's defense is the difference. The Gamecocks will overwhelm the Gators offense and get the win. South Carolina 27-13.
Kentucky at VANDERBILT: No one saw Kentucky getting a win last weekend, but I still don't see it happening this weekend. Vanderbilt is a good football team this year. Commodores 31-17.
Western Kentucky at LSU: Should be a close one. LSU 72-3.
Louisiana Tech at MISSISSIPPI: Mississippi is struggling, but I don't think they are struggling enough to lose this game. Rebels 30-10.
ALABAMA at Mississippi State: Another close one. Alabama gets angry 52-6.
Danny Parker (58-15)
Alabama at Miss. State: Crimson Tide avoids a scare against a pumped-up State team. Alabama, 20-14
Auburn at Georgia: The Bulldogs continue to build steam on the way to Atlanta. Georgia, 23-12
Florida at South Carolina: Gamecock offense sputters, but gives them just enough. S. Carolina, 9-7
Kentucky at Vanderbilt: Jordan Rodgers eclipses the 1,000-yard passing mark. Vanderbilt, 24-13
Western Kentucky at LSU: The Tigers just play around with WKU. LSU, 51-0
Louisiana Tech at Ole Miss: Turmoil surrounding the Rebels shouldn't be enough to cost them this one. Ole Miss, 27-24
Tennessee at Arkansas: Too much offense for the Razorbacks, too little offense for the Volunteers. Arkansas, 31-10
Randy Moore (58-15)
Alabama at Miss. State: The Tide may be flat after its emotionally draining loss to LSU. Bama, 20-10
Auburn at Georgia: The Dawgs are primed for an upset but I just can't make myself go there. Georgia, 31-27
Florida at South Carolina: I really don't like either team in this game, so I'll go with the underdog. Florida, 24-20
Kentucky at Vanderbilt: Poor Joker Phillips. He has to watch the Big Blue play every weekend. Commodores, 27-13
Western Kentucky at LSU: No way the Tigers will be focused after their huge defeat of Bama last weekend. No way it will matter, either. LSU, 52-7
Louisiana Tech at Ole Miss: The Black Bears give the Lame Duck one last victory. Ole Miss, 31-20
Tennessee at Arkansas: If the Hogs are focused, this one could get ugly. Razorbacks, 34-17
JOSH WOODWARD (57-16)
Alabama at Miss. State: The Crimson Tide are mad and I feel for the Bulldogs as this might get ugly. 38-3 Alabama
Auburn at Georgia: This looks to be a good game, but Georgia is riding high and I don't see Auburn winning away from home. 35-24 Bulldogs
Florida at South Carolina: Another great match up in the SEC. I like the Gators in this one. Florida 34-24
Kentucky at Vanderbilt: Both teams are playing well, but I will have to go with the Dores. Vanderbilt 21-20
Western Kentucky at LSU: If LSU was to scrimmage each other it would be better. Tigers 45-0
Louisiana Tech at Ole Miss: Its bad at Ole Miss and it could get worse. Rebels 17-10
Tennessee at Arkansas: I know everyone is picking Arkansas, but I need to catch up in the picks contest. I'm going with the upset. Tennessee 28-27
