Buzz lands another wing

The Tennessee basketball team's perimeter game continues to add high-profile prospects.

One week after landing Georgia transfer Jordan Howell, the Vols learned they will be getting another wing prospect in Lou Wright, a former top-100 prospect from Memphis.

Wright, 6-6, is a cousin of former Vol Clarence Swearengen and current Vol Scooter McFagdon. Wright and McFadgon were teammates at Raleigh-Egypt High School. Both signed with Memphis in November of 1999 but Wright fell short of qualifying for collegiate academic standards. He spent two seasons playing for Southwest Tennessee Community College but was a few credit hours short of graduating, so he spent the past year completing his degree requirements and playing no organized basketball.

Lou Wright, whose older brother Lorenzen is a seven-year NBA veteran, picked UT over Ole Miss. He will have two seasons of eligibility at UT, beginning immediately.
