The staff of beat reporters hasn't missed a Tennessee football practice since Josh Woodward took over as the magazine and website's publisher.

Stationed at various parts of Haslam Field and Neyland-Thompson Sports Center, the crew is taking in the Volunteer workouts with a watchful eye to keep its site subscribers as educated on the Big Orange as possible.

Monday was no different as InsideTennessee ventured to another preseason camp workout to get as much information, photographs and video footage as possible.

Here's a look at what stuck out to us Monday:

  • On another beautiful morning in Knoxville, the Vols were not outside for Monday's practice in preparation for their season opener with N.C. State, but instead were inside on the turf, which is likely in preparation for the contest in the Georgia Dome.
  • The Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears had scouts on hand taking notes.
  • Former Vol and Biggest Loser contestant Antone Davis has been hired as the new Vol For Life coordinator.
  • From the offensive side…

  • No surprise here, but Vincent Dallas has been moved back to the offensive side of the football to wide receiver after spending training camp at defensive back. Given the likely end of Da' Rick Rogers' career for the Orange & White, Dallas makes just the third wide receiver with a career catch at the wideout position entering 2012. He was unable to crack the depth chart at defensive back and worked with the second-team offense.
  • Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (shoulder) continues to be in a green non-contact jersey while tight end Mychal Rivera looks to be full go entering the week.
  • In a two tight end set, the first team offense featured Mychal Rivera on one side with Ben Bartholomew on the other. Working with the second team was former linebacker Greg King.
  • The Wolfpack issued its depth chart recently. Of their 11 starters on defense, 10 were three-star prospects coming out of high school with one two-star.
  • Freshman wide receiver Jason Croom continues to be limited. The IT staff does not expect him to see the field much, if at all, on Friday.
  • From the defensive side…

  • Middle linebacker and team captain Herman Lathers was back at full go for today's practice. He has finally shed the non-contact jersey.
  • Safety Byron Moore looks to be fully entrenched at the No. 2 safety spot opposite Brian Randolph. Prentiss Waggner and Justin Coleman are your two corners with Eric Gorgon at the star position.
  • Freshman linebacker LaTroy Lewis was on crutches today with a full length compression sleeve on his left leg.
  • UPDATE: Freshman linebacker LaTroy Lewis (ACL) will miss the remainder of the 2012 season. George Bullock (leg) will miss the remainder of the 2012 season.
  • UPDATE: Wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers is no longer a member of the Tennessee football team.
  • Watch as head coach Derek Dooley addressed the media following Monday's practice:
