IT picks the SEC

You'll find both quality coverage and quality predictions on college football at InsideTennessee. Check out our latest SEC picks:

There are some heated in-state rivalry games on the SEC's final football weekend: Alabama versus Auburn. Georgia versus Georgia Tech. Florida versus Florida State. Ole Miss versus Mississippi State.

Unfortunately, Auburn and Georgia Tech are struggling, so two of the rivalry games may not be as competitive as usual. The Florida-Florida State and Ole Miss-Mississippi State matchups may be entertaining enough to offset that, however.

InsideTennessee's Randy Moore went 11-0 on last week's SEC Picks. Danny Parker, Josh Woodward and Chris Price went 10-1 each. Parker continues to lead for the season with an 88-14 record. Below are the staff picks for this week, with year-to-date won/loss records in parenthesis:

LSU at Arkansas: Guessing that no member of the Walton family is going to want to see the second half of this one. LSU, 34-9.

Auburn at Alabama: Is this one of those inspirational, throw-the-records-out type games? Just about. Alabama, 17-14.

Florida at Florida State: Toughest pick of the week. I'll go with the SEC team with the better defense. Florida, 22-12.

Georgia Tech at Georgia: Surely the Bulldogs won't choke on this year's opportunity for something special in January. Georgia, 35-13.

Miss. State at Ole Miss: Hugh Freeze will have his Rebels ready. Ole Miss, 27-20.

Missouri at Texas A&M: It's starting to look like Missouri's comeback victory at Neyland was the hight point of its season. Texas A&M, 51-20.

South Carolina at Clemson: The QB that Lane Kiffin didn't want, Tajh Boyd, is going to put up some serious points on the 'Cocks. Clemson, 42-22.

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Surely the 'Dores won't have a letdown after last weekend's glorious victory. Vanderbilt, 37-31.

Kentucky at Tennessee: Jim Chaney begins and ends his career as Tennessee's head coach 1-0. Tennessee, 26-13.

LSU at Arkansas: I'm guessing Arkansas fans won't be weeping that the John L. Smith era is ending. Tigers, 41-17

Auburn at Alabama: I'm guessing Auburn fans won't be weeping that the Gene Chizik era is ending, either. Bama, 38-7

Florida at Florida State: Will Muschamp is keeping his job but he'll hear some grumbling after this game concludes. Seminoles, 24-14

Georgia Tech at Georgia: The Bulldogs get one more week in the top 10 before getting thumped by Bama in the SEC Championship Game. Georgia, 35-21

Miss. State at Ole Miss: Dan Mullen and Hugh Freeze might be the SEC's two most underrated coaches. Tough call. Rebels, 34-31

Missouri at Texas A&M: Johnny Football is the hottest thing going, so I'm not going to pick against him. Aggies, 38-20

South Carolina at Clemson: The oddsmakers favor Clemson, which tells me Connor Shaw and Jadeveon Clowney are hurt worse than the public realizes. Tigers, 24-17

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Unless the Commodores are overconfident after their beat-down of Tennessee, they should win handily. Vandy, 34-17

Kentucky at Tennessee: Knowing NFL scouts are watching, Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson dazzle in their final college appearances. UT finally puts together 60 minutes of football. Vols, 42-7

LSU at Arkansas: Arkansas is more focused on finding a new coach than playing this game. 42-17 Tigers

Auburn at Alabama: The Iron Bowl likely will be a lop sided affair. Auburn just can't handle the Tide. 38-3 Crimson Tide

Florida at Florida State: One of the better games of the weekend. Will have to pick the SEC on this one. 24-21 Gators

Georgia Tech at Georgia: Georgia Tech got beat by MTSU by 3 touchdowns, so you know who I got to pick. 44-17 Bulldogs

Miss. State at Ole Miss: The Egg Bowl should be a good one, I'm taking the upset on this one. 35-34 Ole Miss

Missouri at Texas A&M: Shouldn't be much of a game unless you want to watch Johnny Football go for the Heisman. 48-28 Aggies

South Carolina at Clemson: Can the South Carolina defense slow down Clemson? I think so. 28-20 Gamecocks

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Vanderbilt has a better bowl to play for. 35-10 Dores

Kentucky at Tennessee: Bottom of the cellar of the SEC, both teams will have a new coach next year, Tennessee is playing for the seniors and trying not to lose 8 games for the first time ever. 42-24 Vols

LSU at Arkansas: LSU is a good football team, but they are in a very tough conference. Luckily this season Arkansas isn't nearly as good as last. Tigers 31-17.

Auburn at Alabama: Auburn is having a bad week already with the NCAA getting ready to drop the hammer. Unfortunately the Rammer Jammers Yellowhammer is about to come down even harder. Tide 42-13.

Florida at Florida State: Florida State lost to the same N.C. State team that Tennessee took behind the woodshed. That says it all to me. Gators 31-20.

Georgia Tech at Georgia: Georgia isn't going to let down for this one. They are just two wins away from a National Championship berth. Dawgs 38-13.

Miss. State at Ole Miss: Mississippi State has had a great season, but the Ole Miss offense is something special. I'm taking the home team. Rebels 34-31.

Missouri at Texas A&M: Texas A&M may have the best player in college football and he is a freshman. Yikes. A&M takes this one 42-21.

South Carolina at Clemson: South Carolina is still hurting without Marcus Lattimore who was just hitting his stride before the tragic injury against the Vols. I'll take the home team once again. Tigers 34-28.

Vanderbilt at Wake Forest: Vandy is rolling and Wake Forest is Wake Forest. That's enough explanation. Commodores 33-13.

Kentucky at Tennessee: Tennessee is pretty bad, but somehow Kentucky is worse. Vols 38-20.
