COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — The finality of things can weigh heavy on the mind — even for a teenager that just accomplished a major goal.

When Josh Smith and his Christian Academy of Knoxville teammates got to work preparing for the 2012 season, repeating as TSSAA Class 3A state champions was priority No. 1.

After a 48-14 drubbing of Milan at Tucker Stadium on the campus of Tennessee Tech, it all became a reality. Smith contributed six catches for 83 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown.

However, life as a Warrior also came to a close for the Tennessee commitment. He spoke on the highs and lows of his last game at CAK, his college plans and more in the video below from InsideTennessee:

Danny Parker is currently the Managing Editor, Recruiting Analyst and Staff Photographer for He was previously the sports editor at Shelbyville Times-Gazette. He joined the InsideTennessee team July 2011.
