Butch Jones is making his way around the country to familiarize and introduce himself to Tennessee commitments and targets.

One of the Volunteers' greatest needs is to get more speed on defense. Thus, securing a commitment from a legacy prospect like Elliot Berry will be a priority with the Class of 2014.

Creekside (Ga.) High School coaches move Berry around the field, playing a variety of positions on both sides of the ball, including defensive end. At 5-feet-11, 185 pounds, an opportunity to play linebacker in a 4-3 set looks like his best fit.

Creekside's season ended prematurely with a 27-24 loss to Thomas County Central in the opening round of the GHSA Class AAAAA state playoffs. The Seminoles entered as the No. 3 seed from Region 4-AAAAA.

Elliot and twin brother Evan Berry will again compete for the Seminoles' track team in the spring.

They are the younger brothers of former Tennessee All-American Eric Berry and sons of former Vol James Berry.
