'Here we come Tennessee'

The Lady Vols' 2013 signing class has agreed to update this site on the happenings before college. In this installment, the mother of Jordan Reynolds joins in to help.

Jordan Reynolds, a 2013 signee from Portland, Ore., is swamped with exams and basketball but still took the time to submit this to InsideTennessee.

Jordan Reynolds in her own words

Hey again, this is Jordan checking in. This past week I had finals so there were a lot of late-night study sessions.

By far the most difficult final this year was AP chemistry. We had a mixture of short answers, and multiple choice.

Now that that is over with we have a "PINK OUT" game on our home court. We play one of our league teams Barlow. That should be a very fun game. Well I'm signing out my Lady Vols are playing.

Kimberly James, the mother of Reynolds and a former college basketball player, is as excited as her daughter about becoming a Tennessee fan.

Kimberly James in her own words

Oh my, oh my, oh my!!! What does it feel like to be a Tennessee mom? It's unbelievable, it's surreal, and YES, it's amazing!!!

My daughter Jordan Reynolds has dreamed of becoming a Lady Vol most of her life. She has watched the games, worn the colors, and emulated the players. She has admired the legacy built, and dreamed BIG dreams about playing on the same court as some of the greatest players ever!!!

So for me, mom, to see the dream come to fruition, to watch it unfold before my very eyes, WOW! I do not take for granted the blessing bestowed upon us, and excitement exudes from my veins.

I now wear the colors, watch the games more often, record the games on TV, and continue to dream Jordan's dream with her until reality sets in, come June 2013.

Here we come Tennessee, here we come!
