MABLETON, Ga. — With four quarterbacks on scholarship for at least through the 2014 season, the Tennessee coaching staff is being selective on who it wants to add to that group.

Coaches have expressed interest in having five quarterbacks rostered season to season, which will typically allow a redshirt year for at least one.

Tennessee does not have a field general on the commit list for 2014. Looking at the 2015s, just one player east of the Mississippi has caught the eye of coach Butch Jones and offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian. That guy is Lorenzo Nuñez.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder has scholarship offers from Clemson, Kentucky, Ohio State and Tennessee. He's rated by FOX Sports and Scout as the No. 18 junior QB and a four-star prospect. He plays his prep ball at Harrison (Ga.) High School, which was victorious on the road versus Pebblebrook 24-9 on Friday night.

With the Hoyas leading by multiple scores, Nuñez wasn't called upon to throw more than three passes the entire second half. He did complete two of those and showed physicality running the football.
