Jaime Nared commits to Tennessee

Jaime Nared, a 6-1 wing in the Class of 2014, has committed to the Lady Vols. Go inside with InsideTennessee for more.

The Lady Vols wanted a versatile forward in the Class of 2014, and they got that Tuesday when Jaime Nared, a 6-1 wing from Portland, Ore., committed to Tennessee.

Nared had just left Knoxville two days ago, as she and her parents traveled to Tennessee last weekend for her official visit. Two players from Oregon, Mercedes Russell and Jordan Reynolds, are freshmen this season, so familiarity and fit likely played a role in the decision. Nared said she would know from her visits how to make the right decision, because the fit would be apparent.

Nared can play the small forward spot, a position of need for Tennessee. She joins two other commits, Alexa Middleton, a combo guard from Murfreesboro, and Kortney Dunbar, a pure shooter from Illinois, in the Class of 2014 who have verballed to Holly Warlick, so far.

Middleton and Jatarie White, a 6-4 forward/center from Charlotte, N.C., are making official visits this weekend.

More details and an interview with Nared will come later on this site.
