IT picks the SEC

InsideTennessee's staff brings you great writing and great predicting. Check out our projections for this week's SEC games:

The race for IT picks champ is picking up as both Randy Moore and Josh Woodward went 8-0 last week. Riley Blevins and Danny Parker both went 7-1 by picking LSU to beat Georgia.

Danny and Randy are tied with an overall record of 47-3 with Josh Woodward next at 46-4. Riley Blevins is still trailing at 42-8.

This week in the SEC has some challenging picks, the Ole Miss Auburn game is a tough one and the Missouri and Vanderbilt game could go either way.

Here are this week's picks:

RANDY MOORE (47-3)

Georgia State at Alabama: Here's an idea: How about Georgia State versus Bama's third teamers? Tide, 49-7

Arkansas at Florida: The Gators don't look good doing it but they manage to keep winning. Florida, 27-14

LSU at Miss. State: After losing to Georgia the Tigers are going to take out their frustration on another set of Dogs. LSU, 31-14

Ole Miss at Auburn: The Rebels couldn't hang with Bama last week but they should do better against the "other" team from Alabama this week. Ole Miss, 27-20

Missouri at Vanderbilt: I predict that someone named James Franklin will be happy with the outcome … no matter who wins. Vandy, 27-24

Kentucky at South Carolina: Unless the Gamecocks are distracted this should be a flogging. Carolina, 34-10

Georgia at Tennessee: The Vols' best performance might be good enough to keep this one close. Dawgs, 41-24

DANNY PARKER (47-3)

Georgia State at Alabama: No Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. No Nick Perry. No matter. Alabama, 45-9.

Arkansas at Florida: Alex Collins will need the ice bath come Sunday. Florida, 24-7.

LSU at Miss. State: More momentum for Dan Mullen's exit after this throttling. LSU, 34-10.

Ole Miss at Auburn: Have to think the Rebels bounce back but tough contest to pick. Ole Miss, 30-20.

Missouri at Vanderbilt: Hardest game of the week. If you're supposedly good enough to coach at USC, you're good enough to beat Mizzou in your back yard. Vanderbilt, 32-30.

Kentucky at South Carolina: Carson Shaw or no Carson Shaw won't matter. South Carolina, 40-9.

Georgia at Tennessee: Can't see the Vols being able to hang with that Bulldog offense. Clear advantage at quarterback for the visitors. Georgia, 48-14.

Riley Blevins (42-8)

Georgia State at Alabama: As some of you may know, I have some ground to make up in the IT SEC picks. So, I'm going out on a limb here. You heard it here first: ‘Bama… wins. By a lot. Like a lot a lot. This is step No. 1 for me making a miracle comeback in the staff picks. Bold, I know. Tide 52-17.

Arkansas at Florida: The statue of Tim Tebow erected in front of "The Swamp" and Arkansas' quarterback will finish this game with roughly the same passing statistics. Gators 38-14.

LSU at Miss. State: The fighting Les Mileses come out angry, looking for redemption after a tough loss to Georgia. This one is never close. 41-20.

Ole Miss at Auburn: Lots of negative press for the Rebels this week. Gus Malzahn is a pretty smart dude. Auburn gets its first-big win under the new fella. Tigers 28-24.

Missouri at Vanderbilt: The battle of Tennessee's two biggest "coin toss" games. Vandy comes out on top. Vandy 35-21.

Kentucky at South Carolina: Maybe someone will bring the Wildcats orange slices at halftime? That's the only way anything positive comes out of this one. Gamecocks 38-10.

Georgia at Tennessee: The Justin Worley-helmed offense can't keep up with Georgia's pass-happy attack. And it's only a matter of time till the young secondary gets beat. Unless the Vols get five turnovers in six plays, they don't have a chance. Dawgs 45-17

JOSH WOODWARD (46-4)

Georgia State at Alabama: The Crimson Tide have had a few distractions this week, but that won't matter at all. They could send out the scout team and beat Georgia State. 48-3 Crimson Tide

Arkansas at Florida: If this game was in Arkansas I would pick the Razorbacks, but being a night game in the swamp I'm going Gators. 38-24 Florida

LSU at Miss. State: LSU lost a heartbreaker last week to Georgia, but I don't see them losing to these Bulldogs. Dan Mullen is on a down hill slide in Stark Vegas. 45-20 Tigers

Ole Miss at Auburn: Toughest game of the week for me to pick, Ole Miss has had some distractions this week in Oxford with the theater mishap. I look for Auburn to come out strong and fade in the end. 34-31 Rebels

Missouri at Vanderbilt: The battle for the bottom of the SEC East is brewing in Nashville, the loser likely cements itself for the bottom spot. I like Vandy at home in front of a large crowd of 16,500. 38-28 Dores

Kentucky at South Carolina: Shouldn't be much of a game this weekend in Columbia. The gamecocks are more talented. I think they will win, but will sleep walk through it, I think yes. 31-20 Gamecocks

Georgia at Tennessee: Georgia is coming off the big win at LSU and a let done is due. The Vols are wearing the Smokey grey uniforms and looks to be a sell out crowd rocking Neyland Stadium. All signs point to an upset, but the talent gap is apparent. Georgia is to talented for this Tennessee team, it could be ugly if Tennessee can't move the football on offense. 33-17 Bulldogs
